DECO NASCIMENTO
Brazilian, native of the city of Olinda, Pernambuco. At an early age, he began his classical guitar studies at the Centro Musical Paulista (CEMPA). Later he studied contra-bass in the Extension Course of the Conservatory of the Federal University of Pernambuco.
In the year 2000 he left music studies to pursue a degree in Psychology. However, he continues to participate in local groups as a bassist, composing for plays and short films. He completed the final practice of the Psychology degree at the Art Therapy Research Center of Pernanbuco, where he graduated in 2005 with a research work based on the relationships of sound articulated with the body itself and the therapeutic process.
In 2008 he was accepted at the Faculty of Fine Arts San Carlos de Valencia to study the Master of Visual Arts and Multimedia. In the same city, he studies music by computer and editing and post production of audio for cinema.
From 2009 to 2010 he was responsible for sound design, choreography of body percussion and acted as bassist in the musical Sentiments of the theater group ASSAIG of the University of Valencia. This work won the audience award at the Mislata Theater Festival. During this period he also taught corporal creativity at the University of Valencia and was a visiting professor at the theater group Transplantats.
In 2012, she obtained the Fellowship for a Full Doctorate Abroad from the CAPES-Foundation, Minitry of Education of Brazil to continue with the doctoral thesis, research at the Intermediate Creation Laboratory and collaborate with the Poéticas Digitais Group of the University of São Paulo .
As a sound artist, he has acted during 2012 at the Festival # 11 ART of Brasilia, at the International Exhibition of Music and Advanced Visual Audio (MIMA) of Valencia and at SENS-Rambleta de Valencia.
In 2013, he participates in the Locative Audio Symposium as organizer and composer of the sound pieces for the geolocative tour and is invited to participate in the BRAZIL Vol. 2 compilation album: New Experimental Music From Brazil, which presents the new composers of electronic music of Brazilian
He is currently a researcher in Sound Art, coordinating workshops on body creativity and sound poetry at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. And member of the collective PDP11 and the duo of Live Electronics Clássicos de Calçada , with which he has performed at festivals, such as LPM (Itália), Arte Sonoro and Audiovisual Exploration (Mexico), Incubarte (Spain), Le Generale du Canal (Belgium) , AVAV (Brazil), among others.
